Lift Youth Ministry

fbcoh_youth1Lift Youth Ministry at First Baptist Church of Hurricane includes all students in 6th -12th grades.  Our student ministry is comprised of students across the Teays Valley, Hurricane, and Milton area.  With students from several different schools represented in the ministry, Lift has a wonderfully diverse student ministry where students are encouraged to build relationships across school and social boundaries.  If you are looking for a place to make new friendships, serve others, and grow in a relationship with Jesus Christ, we want the opportunity to get to know you.  At the heart of what we do is our mission: “To build a Christ Centered Foundation in young people’s lives in our Community, through Service, Devotion, and Worship.”

Sunday School

fbcoh_youth3Youth Bible study classes for all grades that meet in the youth room at 10:00 am on Sunday morning.  Bible studies are based upon age appropriate topics which are relevant to middle and high school students.  Classes are arranged by grade. If you are looking for a great place to get plugged in and grow your faith; this is the right spot. Meets every Sunday morning @ 10am!

Sunday Night Lift Youth

fbcoh_youth2Sunday evening worship is a youth style worship service held each Sunday in the youth room at 6:30 pm. The worship service focuses on praising God through music, videos, games and a time of pastor led Bible study.  Students participate regularly by sharing testimonies or special talents.  Bible study topics are chosen such that they will be relevant, useful and uplifting to middle and high school students.  Middle school and high school students meet together during this time. Fellowship is key with this group and we invite you to join us on an upcoming Sunday night to strengthen your faith. Meets every Sunday evening @ 6:30!

Wednesday Night Lift Youth

fbcoh_youth4Wednesday evening youth is geared more towards a small group style setting for the youth to feel free to discuss and interactively learn and walk through the bible.  The middle school meets in the fellowship hall and the high school meet separately in the youth room.  Each week is led by our adult leadership team and relevant to the topics and issues that youth deal with today in their schools and mission fields. Meets every Wednesday evening @ 6:30!

SHOP AT FOODFAIR?SHOP AT FOODFAIR?

Last year, we were introduced to FoodFair’s Community Enrichment Program. Since then we’ve had several church members and friends sign up to support Lift Youth Ministries and help them earn a 2% rebate check on all purchases. We have accumulated over $700 of rewards, thanks to several faithful shoppers.

How does it work? Each household that signs up receives one credit card size community card and 3 key tags that can be given to anyone in your family or friends. This card has nothing to do with sales prices or rebates. It strictly monitors dollars spent and gives back to community groups like FBCOH Lift Youth. Applications are available in the church office or in the narthex. Once completed, Wendy Bradley will get you enrolled and get your card back to you.
